Thrifty Thursday: Hope Rayon Spandex Eva Layering Tee

It's Thrifty Thursday here at Amelia Lane Designs which means 30% off (and codes stack!) the featured fabric. This week's feature is the Hope Rayon Spandex fabric!

Each week the fabric is featured by making a pattern that is available for free. The whole make is super thrifty!

Rayon Spandex

Rayon Spandex fabric has good stretch, not too much structure and is super drapey. This makes it great for a good variety of makes. Hope is a midweight rayon spandex so it's not heavy like the solids but also a bit more stability than some of the other prints.

Amelia Lane Designs created this handy info sheet to help understand all the fabric bases!

A Special ALD Early Release EXCLUSIVE!

In celebration of launching an adult pattern Phat Quarters is releasing a free basic tee and ALD Subscribers can get it a day early!

ALD's very own Wendy Pratt is the designer behind this awesome, size inclusive, basic tee and she's also today's Thrifty Thursday sewist and model!

The Eve is a basic knit layering tee from Phat Quarters. It is the first in their new line of adult patterns. You can purchase it for $5 on their website: www.phatquarterssewing.com or use a code found in their Facebook Group (www.facebook.com/groups/PhatQuarters) and get it free. The pattern features layered sizing with a range from XXS-5X. What's great and unique about the Eve is that it included drafting for different sized sewing cups to help get a more custom fit. Eve included step by step detailed instructions, including steps for a basic FBA. It's such a quick sew and a great introductory pattern for beginners. As the weather cools off, it will be a nice quick pattern to add a few more layering tops into my wardrobe to layer under vests, dresses, or maybe even my ski suit when the snow hits this season. - Wendy
